The standing commission of the Red Cross and Red Crescent

The Standing Commission's principal functions are to make arrangements for the Internaional Conference and the Council of Delegates. It meets about four times a year.

The Standing Commission is made up of National Society members elected by the International Conference and representatives of the ICRC and the Federation.

The National Society members are:
